West Tanfield is situated between Ripon and Masham on the A6108, 7 miles from Ripon and Bedale, 4 miles from Masham. The A1 is a 10 minute drive away.

From the South, leave the A1 at Junction 50, taking A6055 towards Masham. After 3 miles turn left at the roundabout, towards Masham on B6267. After a further 3 miles take the left, signed West Tanfield. At the mini roundabout turn right. After 100 metres the drive to the house  is on the left , through a paddock.

From the North, leave the A1 at Junction 51 for Bedale and Leeming Bar. Continue on the A6055 South for 7.5 miles, turning right onto the B6267 towards Masham.  After a further 3 miles take the left, signed West Tanfield. At the mini roundabout turn right. After 100 metres the drive to the house  is on the left , through a paddock.

From Ripon enter the village over the bridge, and at the roundabout turn right.100 metres on the right is the  drive to the house, through a paddock.

By Train, Thirsk (10 miles) and Northallerton (15 miles) stations are well served, and connect to larger stations. Local taxi services are available.
